321 students were given the universal screening in the 6 areas of reading. DIBELS M-Class, Arkansas Automatized Rapid Naming Screener, and the Words Their Way Primary Spelling Inventory were used in screening.

72 students were identified as being at "some risk" of dyslexia based on the universal screening. Requests to give the Level 1 Dyslexia screener, the MA Rooney Quick Phonics Screener, were made of these families. 48 students were given the Level 1 screening.

16 students received 1:1 intervention and 51 students received small group intervention, based on needs identified through screening. Interventions were provided using Orton-Gillingham methods, Reading Simplified, Heggerty and other explicit, sequential and multi-sensory methods of instruction.
